For the first contest I will keep it easy and start with the topic “Winter”. Here is my example of a recent winter shot I took of my daughter.
You will need to host your image on a site like flickr and then click the Insert image button next to the smilie face above and paste in the link that flickr gives you. Please keep the files no larger than 600 pixels on the longest side.

The Northern RI Camera club has an exhibit on display at the Museum of Work and Culture this month until June 21st. Five of our club members have images on display including Mike Zeis, Beth Chartier, Deborah Bettencourt, David Amaral, and Gary Detonnancourt. The shot below is me standing in front of two of my images.

5/9/2009 Â 5 am – 1 pm @ Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge:Â $200
This workshop will include time for photography and instruction from 5 am – 8:00 am. Then their will be a break for breakfast. The instruction will focus on using a tripod, filters and composition. Then we will travel to the Rhode Island NWR Complex (50 Bend Rd, Charlestown) where we will download and review our photos from 10 am to 1 pm.
Participants should be prepared for the cold and bring their camera, camera’s manual, and tripod. (circular polarizing filter, neutral density filter, graduated neutral density filter, remote shutter release and other accessories are optional) You will also need to bring your camera’s USB cable in order to download photos to the computers. This class is geared for photographers that have a digital SLR and you must also have a Laptop computer.
