Fashion Photo Shoot Lighting Tip

Here is an image from my last fashion photo shoot.  I used a beauty dish for my main light with a grid and a diffusion sock to narrow and soften the light on her face.  I also used a fill light under the beauty dish with a white shoot through umbrella to fill in the shadows.  This is a common fashion lighting setup commonly called the clam shell.  If you look closely at her eyes you will see two catch lights.  The top one from the beauty dish and the bottom from the shoot through umbrella.
